Black(and white)beard

Dragon Colors
I have had my Bearded Dragon Blackbeard for about a year now. One time when he was little, I took him outside to get some sun and he just took off and hid under a bush. I tried to get him out for close to an hour. After a lot of waiting and watching he finally came out and I quickly grabbed him so that he couldn't escape again. The reason why I called my Bearded Dragon Blackbeard is because when Bearded Dragons get mad they puff up their beards and turn black. Blackbeard is very lazy and spoiled. He mostly likes to just sit in his hammock under the UV lamp and eat strawberries. Bearded Dragons are also very social animals. They like to be held and taken on bike rides or car rides. Although his spikes look like they would hurt, they are actually very soft. Another thing that I've learned over this past summer is that Blackbeard loves to swim. Once when I took him outside near the beach, which is also where I took this picture, and he just jumped out of my hand and started walking towards the lake. He then got in and started to swim. He loves the outside especially the grass and the water. For this reason I took a picture of him outside by the water on the grass. It was very hard for me to take a picture of him with one hand and hold him in the other while trying to position him correctly so that he would look at the camera. I also wanted to make sure that you could see his colors by adjusting him so that the lighting would hit him correctly. To make sure that Blackbeard was the main focus of the picture I additionally had to make sure not to get anything distracting in the background. |
